How it works

From resume to filled form, in five steps.

Five minutes to set up. Then it searches while you study, and never sends anything without you.

What you need

  • Chromeon a laptop or desktop
  • Your resumePDF or Word
  • 5 minutesonce
  • A free Google AI keyoptional, for the writing help. How

The five steps

  1. 01

    Tell Knock your situation

Studying in the US, or job hunting in the UK, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands or Ireland. Set it once; change it any time.

The top of Knock’s first screen: step 1 of 10, asking who Knock is helping today, and noting that it looks in different places for each.
  2. 02

    Check what it understood

Add your resume. See the roles, skills and years it read, and fix anything in a tap.

It never adds a skill you don’t have.

The “Here’s what I understood” screen, listing visa status, name, roles to look for and skills, each with a Change link.
  3. 03

    See real doors first

Fresh jobs every few hours, sorted Best fit, Good fit and Stretch against your experience. “Won’t sponsor” jobs stay hidden.

Real postings for an example profile: MS Computer Science, one year of experience.

The Today screen with Best fit, Good fit and Stretch tabs, experience and date filters, and the first job card.
  4. 04

    Check the sponsor record

Every job shows the employer’s sponsorship track record, and how its experience ask compares with yours.

No badge means “we don’t know”, never “no”.

A job card for Software Engineer II at Poshmark showing the employer sponsored 2 new H-1Bs in FY2025, and an ask of 2 to 4 years against your 1.
  5. 05

Open it filled. You press Submit.

Knock fills what your resume can answer and highlights the rest. Read it, change anything, send it yourself.

Every AI-written line is checked against your resume.

Knock’s panel on an application form: 12 of 18 fields filled, 6 questions left for you, and a note that Knock never presses Submit.

Inside step 05

Blue is Knock. Amber is you.

Answers your resume backs up fill themselves. Visa questions and anything only you can answer wait for you. So does Submit.

An application form filling itself. Hover a row to see where its answer comes from.

Then keep going

A calm week, not a streak.

A tracker instead of a spreadsheet, one next step instead of 400 tabs, and a weekly target you set yourself. Rest days are fine.

A sample week: 11 applications against a target of 10. Hover a day.

Four things it will never do.

  • Press Submit for you
  • Invent a skill, an employer or a number
  • Read or automate LinkedIn
  • Sell your data

Try it on your next application.

Free. No card. About five minutes to set up.
