The short version
- Your resume, your answers and your job list stay in your own browser. We never receive them.
- Your account holds only your email address and which plan you’re on.
- We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it except with the services listed below.
The Knock extension
The extension stores your resume text, profile, saved form answers and tracker in Chrome’s local storage on your computer. It reads public company job boards; those boards don’t learn anything about you. It fills application forms only on the pages you open, and only you press Submit, which sends your application to that employer.
If you add your own Google Gemini key, the text of your resume (or, for a scanned PDF, the file) is sent to Google to read it. Google’s free tier may use what it receives to improve its products; see Google’s terms. Without a key, nothing is sent to Google. Every plan works this way: you bring your own key, and the AI reading never passes through our servers.
If you choose Sign in with Google, Knock saves a copy of your Knock data (profile, resume, saved form answers, job list, tracker and settings; never your Gemini key) to your Knock account, so you can use it on another computer. It is stored with our database provider, Supabase, and access rules let only your signed-in account read or change it. Not signed in? Nothing is copied anywhere. Sign out any time. To delete the copy, email hello@eclipr.com and we will delete it.
Answers to diversity questions (such as gender or ethnicity) are saved only if you say yes when asked. Knock never stores passwords, one-time codes, card or bank numbers, or ID numbers.
This website
- Email form: your email, the country you study in and the plan you picked, sent to Formspree so we can send you the install link and updates. Unsubscribe from any email.
- Payments: handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and processes your card. We never see your card number. We receive your email, plan and payment status.
- Analytics and ads: only if you click Accept on the cookie banner, Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies so we can see which ads bring people here. Decline and they stay off.
How long we keep it
Account and email data: while you have an account, then deleted within 30 days of your request. Payment records: as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
To delete everything in the extension, use “Start over” in the extension or remove it from Chrome. To delete your account or email, write to hello@eclipr.com and we’ll do it within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights to access, correct or move your data; ask us at the same address.
Children
Knock is for university students and graduates. It isn’t meant for anyone under 16.
